Some games in football are what the game is all about, Barca v Real Madrid, Rangers v Celtic, Chelsea v Leeds and Knaphill v Guildford City can be spoken in the same vane. Not that 1000s of folks turned up for this fixture but all of these fixtures will be full blooded affairs without an inch being given. City took the lead in the 39th minute and doubled it a few minutes later before Knaphill got one back before the break. The 2nd half was a midfield battlefield with the 11 men of Guildford holding on against the 14 of Knaphill to take the points and our 4th win on the bounce.

Good news! What's the reason (according to the fixture list on the site) for the last two games of the season being played at Wey Court?

We are only sub tenants at the Spectrum with the athletics club holding the ace card. Hopefully one day, the large town that is Guildford will be able to have its own football ground so we don't have to rely on our friends in the next borough.

Been saying that since before Joseph's Road closed sadly, Slyfield Green was the much vaunted site back then (I'm sure this isn't news to the regulars); Guildford deserves better.
